In the silent depths, my feelings reside,
Hidden away, where they safely bide.
For she walks a path of a different kind,
And my love for her, I must leave behind.
She knows not the depths of my affection,
For I know she sails in a different direction.
Forbidden, these feelings quietly mourn,
Pity her, unaware, of the love that's unborn.
As time marches on, we part our ways,
Living separate lives, through the passing days.
Rarely do our paths cross, seldom do we speak,
Yet my heart still holds the memories we seek.
These unintended feelings, once fierce and bright,
Slowly fade away, lost in the night.
A bittersweet farewell, to what could not be,
As we drift apart, I set my heart free.
